Has been excellent since his last benching. I think he has more than a PPG, which is pretty remarkable when you consider he really looked ready to quit after the benching. He should keep scoring at this rate, and maybe you can get a whacky owner to trade for him*

God knows the Lightning could use some more scoring.

Now who fits that bill? Think Chuck Wong in NY might want him back? Dallas has apparently expressed interest in him before. I would be fine with letting him go for peanuts, even if he's producing. Replacing that salary, with something younger, and more upside, would be great. I wouldn't mind keeping/bring Big Nik back, if we could drop Blake.

I would dump Blake for pretty much anything, because I don't really think this is going to be a long-term thing. I'd actually think of taking back an equal salary for him, just because I don't think he can survive another tank in his play in Toronto.

I still hate Jason Blake and think he's a worthless POS.

I would not use even clsoe to the word excellent. He's had a handful of good games where he's rachetted up a few points, but outside of that handful he's been playing the smae uninspired, useless, sadsack hockey we've seen from him otherwise. He stickhandled right into his own teammate's skates. I mean, really?

Lets just hope he goes on a run like this in February so we can convince some moron to take him for a third round pick.

Blake's recent "production" is almost irrelevant. He has no part in the future of this team and I can't possibly imagine any GM, no matter how desperate or stupid, would take him without us adding in an asset with actual value.

A few games of modest success doesn't erase the crap he's become and the horrible deal he is signed to.

Unlike us, New York was smart enough to let him go in the first place.

They're not going to take him back.

If Blake's contract wasn't another 3 years at 4mil per we MIGHT have been able to move him but as it stands there's no way out except a buyout.

Fergy really ****** the leafs over on this one.
