I'm not jubilant. I'm not displeased, its a decent signing for a player we kind of had to re-sign.
Provided he can click with Iginla, then him at $3.5M through his prime years is a much better use of money than Jokinen at 6. If he can even pull out Langkow numbers (from his previous years, not this one) then it will be more than worthwhile considering Langkow makes $2M more.
And at least if he shits the bed, I'd like to think he's still good for 30 points which would just make him a centre being paid 2nd liner money with 3rd line production, but if he's playing with Iginla he has to crack that 60 point barrier.
This is more money than the Leafs should have paid him, but considering his numbers could get bumped up by being with Iginla then its a risk the Flames are in a better position to take.
Not a great deal, not a bad deal, just another deal.
